@RDicks_5@NYRLouie guerin’s mistake was giving up too much in the jiricek experiment in the first place. There are good reasons why 2 teams moved on from him already. Brink may pan out but he didn’t impress down the stretch, made costly mistakes; he was trying to play through an injury and it showed
@RDicks_5@NYRLouie I have questioned/hated trenin’s contract, although I will say it didn’t look as ugly more recently when playing better. BG has a weakness of overpaying aging 3rd/4th liners, though. I didn’t love foligno’s contact, either. At least McCarron can win draws, which is much needed.
@komarms19@JFreshHockey He has been criticized plenty for some of his decisions and contracts (I can think of at least a few moves that are universally seen by fans as head scratchers). But I think for the most part MN fans are glad to have a GM that is willing to take some big risks and DO something
@RedWings0919@CoachBGonzo yeah I don’t see them getting much better as whole gaining larkin if they have to give up JEEk and more. And we all saw their team collapse in the playoffs when both Ek and brodin were out. I don’t think either fanbase wants to see a trade where both teams end up worse, lol
@RedWings0919@CoachBGonzo Very possible but I’m sure Guerin will take a decent swing. Even if it involves a 3rd team looking for different assets. Brodin would pair great with seider but he wouldn’t be a main piece. It’s not like Vegas or Florida make much sense, either. Larkin needs to expand his list.
@RedWings0919@CoachBGonzo Well yes they would likely be part of whatever package MN would offer; obviously would not be the only pieces…nobody is suggesting that. On the flip side, it’s not realistic for Larkin to get the inflated return that some wings fans are hoping for.
@B_Marsh92 He was great in the playoffs imo, exactly what you need out of a versatile 3rd/4th C, although he had already won me over when he rocked corey perry, lol
@B_Marsh92 some fans expect 4th liners to be league minimum but I’m sure there are many teams that‘d be happy to have McCarron for ~3mil. He fills a lot of need and is a great value considering he can kill penalties, win draws, throw his big body around, forecheck. He also seems well liked.
@jpmdude3@ByronMBader They can’t offer wallstedt unless another goalie is in the return. Gus having major hip surgery and hlavaj is leaving, so they need Wally to be their #1 to start season. Yurov and Stramel would likely be starting pieces. Players like Hartman, trenin, Brodin could help Wings now
@CBJ2410@ProjctRated@NathanGraviteh Idk I feel like BG will make them a decent offer. Their pool is thinning but MN still has a number of good prospects and roster players to offer. I also feel like some fans have larkin’s value inflated…some are demanding way more than the hughes package which isn’t realistic
@REF1972@NathanGraviteh Wallstedt isn’t going anywhere. With Gustavsson having major hip surgery this summer and hlavaj leaving, MN can’t move wallstedt. More likely would be package of yurov, stramel, first, and/or maybe a roster player like hartman, trenin, or brodin. BG will make a strong offer
@Richard61898671@breezybbg@marissavoss Most fans were sad to see him go and that hasn’t changed. Any time you trade a major player, there will always be fans who say shit to try and justify the move or feel better about it. Most had no hard feelings and he is respected for sticking with the team through some dark yrs
@mikaylaaaa777 Ottawa fans have brady’s value so inflated it is ridiculous. If the Wild need to give up pieces to land a great player, it shouldn’t be for a winger, and most certainly not for brady. No thanks.
