Joining the #RushAroundTheWorld challenge with a couple of pics of the longest and deepest fjord in Norway, and my favorite cheese - which technically isn't a cheese @ManeskinFanClub
@stenjoavfc@Nordix_XY I can, if they speak slowly and if they're not from Switzerland. But I think that most of the self reported "speakers of 3 languages" are over estimating their abilities.
@stenjoavfc@Nordix_XY I got the top grade in German many years ago and I could put together some basic sentences but I'm not claiming that I can speak the language...
@mrspiritchild@ExtremeNuance@___TheGOOdWitch In that case, community note should say that most church members aren't religious at all. If it's the same as in Norway and I have a feeling it is.
@Spelling_king@__cannas__@dietxcokewhore -house to eat before finding their favorite place under the rose bush. I think that only Americans would call that careless.
@Spelling_king@__cannas__@dietxcokewhore If you have the source for your number, please share. I have a feeling those numbers include un-neutered cats, barn cats that do not get check ups at the vet, unvaccinated cats, cats that roam outdoors for days etc. Not cats chilling in the garden and going in an out of the-
@__cannas__@Spelling_king@dietxcokewhore -a little longer more boring life? (Again, consider the outdoor environment of your home obviously and don't let your cat out in traffic/among predators etc)
@__cannas__@Spelling_king@dietxcokewhore -reasons, they get to walk on a leash (this morning, and again tonight) but there's no doubt that they would be happier if they could spend a lot more time outdoors in spring/summer. It's a matter of quality/quantity I think - a little shorter but happier life perhaps better than
@Spelling_king@dietxcokewhore -indoors as they like, as is also the recommendation of Norwegian guidelines for owning a cat - as long as you live in a safe area of course.
@Spelling_king@dietxcokewhore I've seen claims like that but nobody cared to show the study from which they got the statistics? If you by outdoor cats mean cats that aren't neutered and roam for days without the owner knowing where they are, fine then we agree but best thing for the cat is to go outdoors and-
@hotsoggi@t0rdruw@lo_saturna1ia and dogs and things going on, ofc it can be stressful. I definitely think that it is better for some cats to live as indoor cats, but I strongly disagree that it's better for all cats.
@hotsoggi@t0rdruw@lo_saturna1ia If you by high stress you mean fights over territory, you have a point, but my parents live at the countryside, there weren't many neighbours or other cats around when I was a kid (a lot more houses have come since back then). If you live in a city with traffic and lots of cats
@hotsoggi@t0rdruw@lo_saturna1ia "There was no difference in the age of death between indoor only cats and those that lived indoor/outdoor. " The cats that my family had go in the indoor/outdoor category, chilling in the garden, always inside the house during night.
@hotsoggi@t0rdruw@lo_saturna1ia Oh if we're talking about barn cats and others that roam for days without the owner knowing where they are, I'm sure we agree that's irresponsible. I couldn't find the link to the statistics mentioned but chatgpt gave me this https://t.co/4VoFs10F6m that says
