You know what’s actually crazy?

I kept telling my uncle — who supposedly knows software — that I needed real infrastructure to run my own models.

“I need the hardware. I need the compute. I need to own the model layer.”

Wouldn’t help me get it.

Meanwhile I was building the fleet on consumer PCs, depending on consumer models because that was all I had.

Now look where the entire industry is going.

Fucking idiot. No wonder the first time he tried building something, he failed.

This is the setup, by the way, that created the insane fleet system people are going absolutely crazy over right now.

Built on consumer PCs in a basement.

Took around two months, way too many all-nighters, and a ridiculous amount of trial and error to get it working.

No giant data center. No enterprise hardware. Just consumer machines and a lot of building. 🗿
