Apple Maps has begun rolling out ads in the United States and Canada. Sponsored businesses can now appear above organic results and inside Suggested Places, marked with a small blue “Ad” label. 📍

The frustrating part is that users cannot disable them, even if they pay for iCloud+ or Apple One.

Apple says the targeting remains on-device and is not connected to your Apple Account, which is better for privacy. But premium hardware, paid subscriptions and now ads inside Maps?
