I made a personal black hole that makes you take breaks 🕳️
A shader for Ghostty that spawns a small black hole in your terminal - it drifts around, gravitationally lensing your text. The longer you work without stopping, the bigger it gets, until it's basically demanding you go touch grass
Take a break and it quietly shrinks away
Not trying to be doom and gloom.
I also have respect for people who enjoy playing whatever they want. Still, I can't shake the feeling that Bethesda has completely lost the plot when it comes to Fallout.
Say what you want about the show, but it at the very least sets a decent tone for the Fallout universe.
These new ads from Bethesda have a tone completely at odds with what the game series has shown, like a complete departure.
The goofy costumes, the bastardization of Vault Boy, it is all so hokey.
Bethesda seems completely content with pushing updates on Fallout 76. Again, if you are super into that game, more power to you, there is fun to be had and its improved since launch. Still, it stands in the way of any actual Fallout stories coming in the form of a single-player experience that people are longing for.
Almost everyone you talk to in the Bethesda fan base has been telling Bethesda that we want remasters of Fallout 3 and, eventually, New Vegas. I am sure they are working on this, but these ads are almost insulting to those of us who are looking for the gritty yet humorous post-apocalyptic universe that Fallout is so popular for.
It's cringe-inducing how out of touch Bethesda seems to be at this point, and if you are an Elder Scrolls fan, you probably just feel like your favorite series is dead in the water.
A multi-billion-dollar company with over 1,000 employees worldwide, and this is the best they can muster every year.
Absolutely wild.
Untold devastation was wrought on D&D play when the left half of the painting with the hirelings doing grunt work was omitted, leaving players with the impression that an expected party only had 5 members. 🙃
