Think about the superstar era of South Indian cinema.

Tamil cinema had legends like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

Kannada cinema had Dr. Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan and Ambareesh.

Malayalam cinema had Mammootty and Mohanlal.

And Telugu cinema had Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Every industry had extraordinary performers who ruled the hearts of millions. But Chiranjeevi brought something truly special to the art of dancing.

His lightning-fast footwork, unbelievable flexibility, perfect rhythm, expressions and natural body movements made even the most complicated steps look incredibly easy.

He didn't need elaborate camera tricks to make his dance sequences memorable. His talent, energy and screen presence did all the talking.

Generations of actors have come after him, and many have become phenomenal dancers themselves. But the standard Chiranjeevi established remains incredibly difficult to match.

He didn't just dance to the music. He made the entire screen dance with him.

That's why, for me, Megastar Chiranjeevi remains the greatest commercial film dancer South Indian cinema has ever witnessed.
