Happy 2023! This year I start my journey to my dream job! My PQIP qualification doesn’t start until March. Does anyone have any tips on ways I can get a head start, which books I should get? Any advice is welcomed
@PQiPAlice @LornaCunningh19@RobCanton1 I can see how the 21 month one would better prepare, especially for people like myself who graduated a few years back
@LornaCunningh19 @PQiPAlice @RobCanton1 Thank you very much, I graduated in 2018 so the 21 month course for me is probably best but I’m excited either way
@JessicaBrenton7 My goal eventually is to get into YJS. I have a background in youth work and I always wanted to work with YP so any tips on how to get there is always welcomed
@JessicaBrenton7 I can’t wait to start my placement, I’m happy to be starting in my placement before the course beings it allows me to get to know people and find my way. So do you currently work with youth justice then?
@PQiPAlice @RobCanton1 I haven’t been told that yet, I start my placement at the end of this month which will give me a good chance to get to know everyone before the qual starts, I have a degree in criminology which covers a lot of the main modules but I think I’d prefer the 21 month route
