I still don’t think people understand what it means for 33 million people to be displaced. That’s 6 times more people than those internally displaced in Ukraine from war, that’s roughly 90% of the population of Canada.

Don’t get me wrong- the nomination of Judge KBJ is a historic moment. But why are we normalizing a Black woman being verbally & emotionally abused by a committee for the public to see? Why are we applauding composure during abuse? Why must Black women suffer to make history?

Black farmers lost 90% of their farmland in the last century largely due to loan denials by the USDA. Black-owned farmland in 1920 would be valued over $185B today. In Marion County, FL alone, the Black community's wealth declined $1B from the loss of their farmland.
