Another Couch To 5K under Active Sefton ticked off✅
Had a lovely morning at Crosby Parkrun with our fantastic group of runners today🤗☀️
It was so great to see them all push themselves and finish with huge smiles on their faces😄
Very proud of them!! #ActiveSefton#CouchTo5k
Had a great time today at Edge Hill University talking to current sports students about what I’ve been up to since finishing my degree🤓
It was lovely to meet students who wanted to make a difference in sport and were looking forward to starting their careers😄
Great employer networking event @GDoncaster@EHUSportandPA@ehucareers. Thanks @MeganHigginsSD and our other fantastic alumni for inspiring current Sport Management, Sports Coaching and MSc students and helping everyone to practice those networking skills 😀
BUT, we managed to do it and we got to the end of the 10 week programme, finishing with a Parkrun at Crosby beach🥳 Everyone did so well and we’re so proud of them!!
I’m looking forward to organising the next C25K programme and making it bigger and better😄 #c25k#activesefton
Had such a nice morning on Saturday finishing my first C25K programme with a lovely group of runners😄 It’s been challenging to organise at times with 1) coming back for the first time post-lockdown and 2) our running track being damaged half way through the programme😭
Great to be in Birmingham today to see the Commonwealth Games 2022 set up🤗
Volunteer recruitment is in full swing and preparations are being made for #B2022 🥳
Find out in the New Year if I’ll be involved… hopefully I’ll be helping on the Triathlon and Para-Triathlon side🤞🏼
Huge thank you, once again, to @TriEngland for all of the support and for providing the Youth Forum as an opportunity for both personal and professional growth🤓 I can safely say that this experience helped me to secure a role like this!😄
It’s me😅 Very excited for a fresh start! 1 week to go until I start in my new role at Sefton Council🤩 Reached my pre-university goal of becoming a Sports Development Officer… time to enjoy it and then to set a new goal👀🎯 #newjob#sportsdevelopment
Megan Higgins has been part of the Triathlon England Youth Forum since it began in 2018 and this has helped her in securing a job as a Sports Development Officer at Sefton Council.

Really enjoyed keeping up to date this morning with British Triathlon’s & UK Coaching’s Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop👨👩👦👦🗣 Very insightful and great practical examples given💡Will definitely help once we’re all back out there delivering practical sessions🤗
Really proud of this one! Started up our relationship with @AspirationsCare 😄 Yesterday’s session was amazing to see all of the participants giving it their all, whether they were sat down or stood up🤩 #psychedup https://t.co/Nv2HcSwNsV

In the future we’re looking to expand and go out into the community, where we can hopefully hold 1:1 and group sessions with the aim of enhancing the wellbeing and performance of individuals by applying the values of sport psychology interventions into fun and active sessions🤩
Was so great to be featured on @TriEngland virtual AGM conference today😄 Showing exactly why the Youth Forum is so crucial to young people’s development in the sport🏊🏻♂️🚴🏼♀️🏃🏻♂️A huge thank you to everyone who made today happen and for letting the Youth Forum be a part of it😊
