Previously, I had only thought about painting to visually convey my research. Now, I feel very inspired to make other creative outputs such as short stories.

Our #BA4102 discussion this week reinforced the value of the nuances, illusions, metaphors, tones, and body language found in the audio-visual experiences of speech that can get lost in text transcripts.

Best #BA4102 week so far. Great info with practical value was discussed this week. Key points from Errante’s (2000) paper for anyone using oral histories in research: verbal hiding strategies, remembering to forget, & the interviewer may not be part of the story.

I want to let #BA4102 know that the AAS’s code of ethics appendix contains some good resources about research protocols & guidelines, IP management, & international resources for ethical research. Anybody else have resources they would like to recommend?

When cultivating an ethical research practice it's important to reflect upon the historical legacy of past research & the future possibilities of ethics.
