Hosted our first lunchtime Open Mic on Friday. So proud of the kiddos for putting themselves out there to perform publicly! And proud of their friends and peers for being so supportive!

Creating these Lego shaped magnets have been such a big hit for all the students this year. It’s been one of my favourite things to watch evolve. And as you can see, @taylorswift13 has been a focus for the students creativity this year!

A personal favourite from today’s Builders Block. Before Christmas, a student created the “cheekie” out of pompoms. In today’s lunch group she recreated a cheekie out of Lego! 🥰@BrookhouseElem

Our countdown to Christmas break positive affirmation tree! I hope each and every child and adult in the building took time to remind themselves of these truths for their own lives @HRCE_NS @BrookhouseElem @HRCESchoolsPlus #CYCP

[Megan Somers @MeganSomers11]

@TimHoustonNS Well they definitely deserve this and more…but wish you had the same sense when CUPE members were on strike, asking for a living wage and ARE STILL STRUGGLING to make ends meet for their families this Christmas.

Making connections one brick at a time! Lego is amazing for so many reasons! Focus, creativity, confidence, connections, etc.

After one day, being 4 is winning. But some people seem to be divided.

[Megan Somers @MeganSomers11]

Ok what are your predictions?? Would you rather be 4 years old for your entire life or 90 years old?? And why?? Will post an update in comments in a day or two.
