Every now and then God surprises you with an answer to a prayer you had forgotten you even prayed. The faithfulness of God never ceases to amaze me. Ever.
I don't support anyone who feels self-righteous enough to judge teachers for doing what's best for them. No amount of toxic positivity or guilt is going to make me change my mind.
I chose me, my health, and my control over my own body. I would do it again--in a heartbeat.
So here's where I am today:
I support you if you choose to leave the classroom because of this mess. You need to do what's right for you.
I support you if you choose to or need to stay in the classroom. Salary and benefits are a very real need.
But here's what I don't support:
If you’re an administrator and you’re not willing to go to bat for your staff now — to protect them and prove you’re after their safety and their best interests — please don’t expect for them to trust you later.
While it’s a good thing to carry a Bible in a purse, backpack, or briefcase, the best place to carry the Word of God is in your heart. Memorize it. Fill your mind with it. Know the Word of God.
The fact that school committees are meeting remotely due to safety reasons to discuss sending students and educators back into classrooms speaks volumes. @NEAToday@massteacher@MassGovernor
If school openings are for the economy to open back up, then corporations should help fund needs and resources for schools. I’m tired of teachers having to beg and fund raise to do their job. Especially now!
The @cityoftulsagov mask ordinance is signed and in effect. We do this at the request of our hospitals, our doctors and nurses, our school leaders, and so many more who want to protect the ability of local health care systems to serve Tulsans in need. https://t.co/3007vWGiRq
I am grateful for the broad support of @TulsaCouncil in approving this important ordinance. I will sign it at 9:00 AM tomorrow in order to give @TulsaPolice time to share details with officers in the field. It will go into effect immediately upon signing.

Never thought I would be a fight person, I actually used to cringe at fighting scenes in movies. But thanks to my husband I LOVE fight nights. #teamusman
