My first paper with @CNAP_AAU is out!
Does pain have an effect in homeostatic plasticity ? πβ¦.and more in this line coming soon π«‘

A nice new @PAINthejournal review from @head_like_egg shows that central sensitization questionnaires do not capture pain sensitivity test responses, but I'm left wondering if either actually measure "central sensitization"? π€ https://t.co/ozjl95ae9T
@micahgallen The only project Iβve ever worked on with a reinforcement learning paradigm used a chequerboard. We planned to use fractal images, but found out that a chequerboard was easier to program in. π It worked fine as far as I can tell π€·πΌββοΈπ
Great presentation on mechanisms underlying chronic pain induced depression from Ipek Yalcin and wrapping up with some very intriguing insights into TMS-EEG and itβs potential utility from Mario Rosanova & Enrico de Martino ππ»π€ @CNAP_AAU
Back for day 2 of the Translational Neurobiology of the Pain System XXVII course @CNAP_AAU starting off talking about pain in Parkinsonβs with @daniel_ciampi
Super interesting presentations on possible mechanisms explaining comorbidity between pain and Parkinsonβs from @bannister_lab and on managing comorbid pain and depression from @hedvigze ππ»
Day one of the XXVII Translational Biology of the Pain System course @CNAP_AAU and my black notebook is back in business #painresearch#painclassification π€ππ»
@HarperOfScience Tough critique! π I get excited by all the work coming on interoceptive processes. I feel like studying the predictive brain is getting us closer to understanding pain, not just nociception. Though understanding nociception and itβs central modulation has surely helped, no? π€
Letβs get this last day at #IASP2022 rolling! π
Curious about glutamate/GABA concentrations in the periaqueductal grey of patients with chronic low back pain? π§
Stop by my poster Nr. 165 between 9.30 and 10.45 to have a chat about it! π¬
Brilliant talks by everyone, what an excellent and well-planned workshop! Great that @MegasaurusPheet can join us online for the Q/A! #IASP2022@CNAP_AAU
But what is the relevance for clinical practice? Adjust therapy approaches to the predominant pain phenotype! Great session including recent literature on this topic by @MegasaurusPheet@paulwhodges@GravenNielsen and David Walsh @ #IASP2022 4/4

@LauraSirucek@GravenNielsen@paulwhodges Loved reading your recent PAIN paper on DNIC v CPM v descending pain inhibition - really got me thinking, so thank you for that! π€ Hope to chat in person next time! π€π»
