I’m excited to announce the publication of my first book chapter!
#InTheFight explores the little known stories of Australians who served in the Far East during the #SWW. I feel so proud to have contributed to this work alongside so many talented authors!

In very exciting news, the @AWMemorial is proud to announce the arrival of our new magazine WM! In the spirit of Wartime, WM remains focused on the Australian experience of war. Published in print twice a year, WM will also online and digital content https://t.co/fio5NVDBxa.
Was so nice to join David on @ThanksFYS podcast to talk about the roles of volunteers in Ceylon during the #SWW. Our discussion brings together some of the research behind my contribution to “In The Fight: Australians and the war in Burma”.

Such a pleasure to have researched and written this incredibly moving story during my time at the @AWMemorial. Stories like these show the contemporary impact of war and its aftermath, and remind us of enduring legacies of loss and remembrance.
A moving personal story about the research & significance of the @AWMemorial's Last Post Ceremony. This particular story of Private Hal Buttsworth, 2/19th Battalion, was written by @Meghan1_Adams.

Wonderful book launch yesterday of “In the Fight: Australians and the War in Burma” @ The Shrine of Remembrance. Many contributors were present, including my @AWMemorial colleagues @Meghan1_Adams @anthea_gunn & Alexandra Torrens, as well as children of veterans.

Thanks to @MHHVic for putting on a very informative conference today- In The Fight: Australians and the War in Burma 1942-1945. Excellent lineup of presenters.
Was fantastic to present at the @MHHVic conference today on Australian volunteers who served in Ceylon during the #SWW. Such an interesting day filled with plenty of fascinating talks, all taking place in such a beautiful heritage building!
Anyone interested in the siege of Tobruk in 1941 should really watch the @AWMemorial's @CraigTibbitts1 chatting with Paul Woodadge on the excellent @WW2TV. Catch them here: https://t.co/n3s1XX7k8z & https://t.co/EWZtuKUhA4

An education in history @UOW was an utterly life-changing thing for me and for so many people like me. Those historians taught me to read the world more adroitly and encouraged me to dream bigger. For them, and for their students (current and future), this is devastating.
