#WelcomeToTheJungle starts off painfully slow..the first half felt like a slog. Thankfully, the second half picks up with some funny moments. Farida Jalal and Kiran Kumar absolutely steal the show ✨ A family entertainer after a long time. 🍿
18th June - Siya Goyal killed her fiance, Ketan Agrawal. Got arrested within a day and still ruling headlines.
18th June - A 13 y/o girl took an e-rickshaw to go to her home, the driver kidnapped her, and over the next five days, she was sold multiple times and sexually assaulted by 32 men.
Now I'll let you decide:
What deserves national outrage?
Why is the entire internet silent about it?
Why aren't media houses shouting about it in their studios with loud background music?
We often underestimate the role of sisters in our families. No one understands a brother's silences, fears, and instincts quite like his sister. She notices what others overlook.
In the case of Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goel, almost everyone initially believed it was a tragic accident. The two families knew each other, and Siya's emotional Instagram posts about Ketan only strengthened that perception. Grieving and shocked, Ketan's family had little reason to question the narrative.
But Ketan's sister refused to accept it. She started piecing things together, one clue at a time. She kept asking questions, stayed in touch with the police, and wanted to know what the investigation had uncovered. While everyone else accepted the explanation, she refused to ignore the inconsistencies.
Today, if Ketan is getting justice and Siya is in jail, a significant reason is his sister's determination. She challenged the accepted narrative and insisted that the truth be uncovered.
Siya thought the case was over. She forgot Ketan had a sister. A sister is the only person who can read a brother's silence and still hear the truth.
#Cocktail2 genuinely felt like a random Netflix romcom that got dubbed in Hindi. Stylish? Sure. Memorable? Not really. Kriti Sanon's character got on my nerves from start to finish and the performance only made it harder to connect. All packaging, very little soul.
Any triangle love story is effective when the conflict has good reason! It makes the audience root for the union of two characters
But when the conflict itself is a nothing burger: how do you even get invested in the story!!
Sicily is pretty tho 😅

#25YearsOfLagaan
25 years later, I can still vividly remember watching Lagaan with my family when it released in 2001. The excitement in the theatre was unmatched..the tension, the cheers, the goosebumps, the emotions. For nearly 4hrs, it had everyone completely hooked.
It has been 25 years since Bhuvan hit it literally out of a makeshift field and we all cheered in the dark. Aamir, ARR and a fantastic ensemble in top form in an epic film. There’s so much more I can say, but will stop at that soaring, winning six! #25yearsoflagaan
I remember reading about the Ranga-Billa case years ago and it left me deeply unsettled. I don't think I have the heart to watch #Raakh
Tragedies like this explain the quiet fear so many of us carry until the people we love make it home safely.
I thought the #Alpha teaser was fairly decent on first watch. But after seeing breakdowns pointing out how many scenes seem heavily “inspired” by various Hollywood films, it lost some of its impact for me. I’d rather see YRF move beyond the Spy Universe & explore fresh stories.
Loved #MaaBehen on Netflix! Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri & Dharna Durga nail this chaotic cover-up of a nosy neighbor. Pure madness!
🍿 Genre: Dark Comedy / Crime Thriller #Netflix
Just finished #Obsession and I'm kind of numb. It completely pulled me into its world and never let go. Unsettling, uncomfortable, and impossible to look away from. A testament to just how effectively this film is made.
Heartbreaking news 💔
1.5 yr-old Arshid tortured to d@ath in Nedumangad, Kerala. Autopsy report says 51 injuries.. genital wounds, cigarette burns, internal bleeding etc..
How can someone be this much cruel.? Stepfather ( not wedded legally) and mother is in custody now.
Capital punishment should be given to any crime towards a child.
