@Abramjee Literally recieved a call on the 30th of December to say that we 'owe' discovery 29000 for an error on their side. I am an unemployed student with severe mental health related issues and my husband already pays for the top medical plan with discovery. I have no idea what to do

@emirates Well, talk about an absolute redemption arc. After the disaster of not flying with my bestie, when I arrive for my flight to Dubai from Amsterdam I was told that I got upgraded to business class. Of course my immediate reply was no thanks, I want to sit with my bestie

To the absolute shock of your staff and all the other customers, I told them to give the ticket to my bestie or to give it to another passanger and put me back in economy with bestie

I then told your staff that they messed up our flights on the way here and I would rather bestie gets business than me. Your incredible staff decided to upgrade both bestie and me. Incredible. You guys gave two plebs the opportunity to fly business 👏

Suddenly your wonderful desk staff were all chatting in Dutch, we are South African and we semi understood them. They were saying we must be really great friends to not be willing to accept an upgrade.

Much deliberation went on and I was told that economy was full and thag I couldn't go back. I told them that's unacceptable as how can I be experiencing business class and bestie is in economy, would never do it.
