Earlier this year, a peer-reviewed study published in EP Europace reported improved one-year outcomes in patients with hemodynamically unstable VT treated with vMap-guided activation mapping and ablation.
This investigator-initiated, two-center study demonstrated:
*80% one-year arrhythmia-free survival in the vMap group vs. 43% with conventional ablation strategies
*37% acute VT termination vs. 0% in the control group
*Localization of VT origin in <30 seconds
*No increase in procedure time, fluoroscopy exposure, or complications
Hemodynamically unstable VT represents one of the most complex and high-risk populations treated in the EP lab. Sustained VT is often poorly tolerated, and acute hemodynamic decompensation has been reported in up to 11% of VT ablations, resulting in cardiogenic shock or death.
