Thomas Massie is right to call this out.

The KIDS Act is being sold as “protecting children,” but it’s a Trojan horse for nationwide digital ID and age verification on the internet. Once platforms are forced to verify everyone’s age to avoid liability, anonymity online effectively ends.

This is the same playbook we’ve seen in the UK and Europe — expand surveillance under the banner of safety, then watch it get abused. Republicans who spent years warning about Big Tech censorship and government overreach should be leading the opposition, not rushing this through on a voice vote.

Privacy isn’t negotiable. Oppose the KIDS Act.
