Every time I feel self conscious about something I just remember that someone invented and built MS Teams, presumably tested it a bit, and then launched it anyways, and then I immediately feel better.
Dont ask Indigenous people what you can do (I will not be responding to such requests):
❤️Read the TRC
❤️Implement calls to action (you don’t need to be a government - something for everyone)
❤️Donate your money
today we gathered to remember Regis Korchinski-Paquet one year after a police intervention led to her death. we had a ceremony at Queen's Park, then marched
on the route police tried to provoke us by grabbing three people, including an organizer. but they weren't ready for us
Dear media: Racism is a fact - it is not alleged. Racism is against the law - it is not a debate. There are no sides to racism - there is perpetrator & victim. There are no bad apples - the bunch is rotten. The media plays a key role in racism - you can excuse it or call it out.
the family of chantel moore is going to need our love and support. it didn't have to be this way, but until we abolish the police, they will keep killing indigenous and black people. we are under attack and have a right and responsibility to defend ourselves
abolish the police.
Regis Korchinski-Paquet died last night after falling from the 24th floor of her high park apartment building—her family says the police pushed her off the balcony to her death

My article 4 @rabbleca which highlights woefully inadequate funding set aside for 634 First Nations in federal pandemic budget, despite elevated risks for First Nations of infections & deaths during pandemics. @Min_IndServ @JustinTrudeau#cdnpoli#covid19 https://t.co/hnVcp4s1yV
The fact that transient Coastal Gas Link man camp labourers are being escorted to work by @BCRCMP while we are experiencing the #COVIDCanada epidemic is apauling. They are threatening the lives of Wet’suwet’en people just by travelling to their territory.
yeahhhh, @KKR_Co definitely deserve a one-star review on Google

Our healing center is on lock down. Our clan meetings, to discuss our rights and title with our communities, have all been postponed. Meanwhile, transient workers and RCMP put our communities - and especially our elders - at risk.
This is unacceptable. CGL must be stopped.
It's incredible how #Covid19 has highlighted the unimportance of societally revered positions --pro athletes, pop stars, pilots, millionaires, etc-- and the indispensability of delivery drivers, grocers and nurses.
Let's make this recognition of true human value permanent.
