Two of my colleagues in particular have worked with Nat Fyfe and other athletes in other codes.
Podiatry wa she savior after all other avenues were exhausted.
The difference between good and great could be just having the right health disciplines involved at the elite level. Physio has a big role to play- but when it comes to the lower limbs and feet- podiatrists are the experts.
If we want to get the edge over others- this is a big area to improve . @WildcatsMark this would be worth considering going forward - every little bit helps! Especially in injury prevention.

Jo Lual-Acuil Jr has had a setback regarding his recent lower leg injury, and will be re-evaluated post the November FIBA Break. A further update as to his return to play will be communicated at that time.

Podiatry is one field where we are actually able to screen and identify mechanical issues that’s are likely to cause injury.
A certain degree of injury can just be in sport- although certain types of feet and mechanics can leave the individual much more prone to injury due to poor function.
Physiotherapist tend to work more with rehab and injury recovery- although we can assist with screening, and mechanical intervention where appropriate to improve function. Also have a lot of knowledge on footwear and what may be a better option .

A few of my colleagues that are also Wildcats fans and members have been watching injury etc for the last few seasons.
I did chat with a few injured players during last year to ascertain what their rehab/ medical support was like.
Podiatry has a critical part to play in elite level sport.
The Wildcats could be doing much better in this off court area imo.

I do think we can improve our medical support crew more. I feel it’s very average and I have other colleagues who have the same concerns…..
So many lower limb and foot issues- and no lower limb expert…..

Extended side line and no guarantee to bounce back to pre injury state.

Speaking to a lot of fans- they have warmed to JR.
There will always be some that don’t- but I do feel most frustrations this season continue to be with the late signings every season of players!
