It’s reported that 30,000 newborn babies died in Kenya last year. The worst-hit regions are Nyanza and ASAL counties,, Tutam Headquarters. Linda Mama, an initiative by Margaret Kenyatta, allowed mothers to enter the healthcare system early with an upfront cost as low as KSh 200, access antenatal clinics, routine monitoring, delivery support, emergency referrals, and newborn care during the most critical months of life.
Today, for mothers to access all those services, they need to pay an upfront KSh 12,450. SHA is designed to be reactive rather than proactive, it has become a hindrance rather than an encouragement. Margaret Kenyatta’s Beyond Zero was totally free, from ANC to delivery.
Just imagine, from conception up to the age of five, healthcare services for the baby were free of charge. Margaret Kenyatta was indeed a mother who understood what other mothers go through during childbirth. No matter what people say about Mama Margaret, I will ALWAYS defend her because I am a beneficiary of Linda Mama.
Today, we have a frame of a woman who literally has nothing to show as her track record. We only see her appearing in public looking sad, worn out, bruised, and depressed. As mothers continue to suffer, she is busy requesting more funds in the supplementary budget to finance her interdenominational mission.
May God bless Margaret Kenyatta and grant her good health and a long life. Maybe someday, we will have another deserving First Lady who will work hand in hand with her to restore sanity in our maternity hospitals.

Governor @HonKangata used county resources to try and “woo” Members of Parliament, then turned around and started pressing the President for the Deputy President seat. The President, however, didn’t budge an inch. Without shame, Irungu Kang'ata used county bursary funds to bribe people to propose his name as DP, money meant for bursaries for needy children within the county of Murang’a.
With that same energy, he should go to the media and tell the people of Murang’a County exactly what he did with the bursary money, and also explain the millions paid for PR and media campaigns to position himself as Deputy President. Instead of all that political ambition and headline chasing, he could have simply focused on building a better family home. Because at the end of the day, it is quite something when someone is trying to climb to the nation’s top political office, yet the condition of his own family home still becomes the quiet political statement no press briefing can spin.
The William Ruto government has released just KSh188 per student as capitation for the term.
A circular sent to regional education directors and schools confirms it.
Out of that KSh188, KSh40 is earmarked for books.
Now, be honest: how is a school supposed to run on KSh 188 per learner for an entire term? And how many exercise books can KSh40 buy in this economy?
Yet you will hear some leaders still stand on podiums and proudly claim education is “free.”
This is not capitation. It is underfunding disguised as support.
Education is not free if schools are starving.
Parliament must intervene because if this is the value the government has placed on a child’s education, then we are in serious trouble.
@FauzKhalid@DCI_Kenya Abductions in this country are synonymous with DCI. Connect the dots. The same institution used to fight business rivalry or clan wars?🤷
This isn't right. And it must stop. H.E @WILLIAMSRUTO promised Kenyans when he was campaigning to become president that abductions by security organs specially by CID and NIS will stop under his watch. In the past month alone this is the second person to be abducted by the government of Kenya. The other victim was dumped in Somalia. When it comes to abductions and extrajudicial killings the buck stops with the president and security chain of command. In Kenya, abductions and extrajudicial killings are not random actions of rogue officers. Rather, these are acts of state meticulously planned, debated as policy at great length and authorised in writing by organs of state.

Woe to those who manipulate religion and the very name of God for their own military, economic, and political gain, dragging that which is sacred into darkness and filth. #ApostolicJourney#Cameroon https://t.co/bKteFZ3iWE
The deplorable state of Ishiara Level 4 hospital. Two people were killed in Mbeere, Embu County, during a protest by residents over the state of the hospital.
What makes a population of over 50 Million people normalize dysfunction from a few politicians? Is it fear, conditioning, survival, or something else entirely?
Who actually understands this, psychologists, sociologists, historians, anyone?? Feel free to weigh in✌🏾
