Fossil fuels did not cause the CO2 rise. PERIOD.

Here is why we know, without wiggle room:

Every carbon source has an isotope fingerprint.
Fossil carbon: -28‰.
Ocean outgassing: -8‰. Standard values. Undisputed. In every carbon-cycle textbook. Used by the IPCC itself.

The Keeling plot reads the fingerprint of whatever is actually being added to the atmosphere. Pure mass balance. No models. No parameterizations. No assumptions.

Scripps measured it at four stations, Barrow to the South Pole, from 1978 to now.

Answer: -13.2‰.

Not -28.
Not close to -28.
Not fossil fuel.

Caribbean sclerosponges preserve that same fingerprint back to 1500 AD.
Same value.
About -13‰.
For five centuries.

Across those five centuries fossil emissions rose from essentially zero to roughly 10 billion tons of carbon per year. A ten thousand fold increase.

The isotope needle did not move.

If fossil combustion were driving atmospheric CO2, that needle would have swung hard toward -28‰.
It did not budge.

The two endmember mixing equation is arithmetic a middle schooler can do. Plug in -13.2 for the observed signature, -28 for fossil, -8 for ocean outgassing.
The fossil share of the net atmospheric addition cannot exceed 26%.

Then apply the five century constancy. In 1500 AD fossil emissions were essentially zero, so the observed -13‰ signature had to be the natural signature itself. That fixes the natural mix at -13‰. Plug that in with the modern -13.2‰.
Fossil share of the net addition: 1.3%.
Within noise of zero.

To escape the conclusion you must reject one of:

1. Elementary algebra applied to mass conservation
2. The isotope endmember values the entire carbon-cycle literature has used for sixty years
3. The Scripps and sclerosponge datasets the IPCC itself relies on

Nobody rejects any of them.

The rise in atmospheric CO2 is not the residue of your gas tank.
The isotopes rule it out.
Full stop.

De feiten zijn keihard: niet-westerse mannen zijn structureel en fors oververtegenwoordigd bij seksuele delicten en geweld tegen vrouwen. CBS-cijfers en analyses laten het duidelijk zien – bij sommige groepen tot tien, twintig keer hoger dan autochtone mannen. Keiharde data.

En dan de rest in de studio: wegmoffelen, relativeren, “het is een mannenprobleem, het gebeurd thuis”, echt te ranzig dit.

De rest koos voor morele rookgordijnen en laat meisjes en vrouwen opnieuw in de steek – alles onder het mom van ‘inclusie’ 🤮

Er groeit een plantje waar niemand aandacht aan besteedt.

De paardenbloem.

Gemeenten bestrijden hem. Tuinliefhebbers trekken hem met wortel en al uit de grond. Kinderen blazen de pluizen weg en volwassenen lopen er gedachteloos langs.

Een lastig onkruid.

Totdat ergens een onderzoeker ontdekt dat een extract uit diezelfde wortel in het laboratorium opmerkelijke effecten laat zien op bepaalde kankercellen.

En ineens wordt het stil.

Ongemakkelijk stil.

Want een paardenbloem heeft één groot nadeel.

Hij groeit gratis.

Er zit geen octrooi op, marketingcampagne en glimmende productlancering. En vooral geen aandeelhoudersvergadering waarin de kwartaalcijfers met applaus worden ontvangen.

Een paardenbloem is economisch buitengewoon onbeleefd.

Ondertussen kennen we een andere plant die al ruim vijfenzeventig jaar wél prachtig bloeit.

De geldboom.

Sinds 1950 trekken collectanten elk jaar langs de deuren. Televisieacties, nalatenschappen, loterijen, sponsorlopen, benefietdiners, subsidies. Jaar na jaar. Decennium na decennium. Mijn reële schatting is 4,5 miljard euro sinds 1950,

En steeds opnieuw dezelfde boodschap.

“We zijn dichterbij dan ooit.”

Dat is een fascinerende slogan.

Want “dichterbij” is een elastisch begrip. Na vijfenzeventig jaar kun je er kennelijk nog altijd nét niet zijn.

Dat roept vragen op.

Geen beschuldigingen.

Gewoon vragen.

Hoeveel miljard euro hebben Nederlanders sinds 1950 aan kankeronderzoek geschonken?

Welke doorbraken zijn rechtstreeks te danken aan dat geld?

Hoeveel verdwijnt onderweg in organisaties, campagnes, fondsenwerving en management?

En misschien wel de lastigste vraag van allemaal:

Hoe wordt eigenlijk besloten welke onderzoekslijnen wél miljoenen krijgen en welke nauwelijks een kans krijgen?

Want wetenschap hoort nieuwsgierig te zijn.

Niet alleen naar wat winstgevend is.

De geschiedenis van de geneeskunde staat vol met ontdekkingen die ooit belachelijk werden gemaakt. Bacteriën veroorzaakten geen maagzweren. Handen wassen was onzin. Maagzweren kwamen door stress. Totdat iemand koppig genoeg was om verder te kijken.

Dat is wetenschap.

Niet het beschermen van bestaande overtuigingen, maar het testen ervan.

Dus nee, niemand hoeft vandaag te beweren dat paardenbloemextract kanker geneest.

Dat zou onwetenschappelijk zijn.

Maar even onwetenschappelijk is het om nieuwsgierigheid te vervangen door desinteresse.

Misschien blijkt de paardenbloem uiteindelijk niets bijzonders.

Prima.

Maar onderzoek dat nooit wordt gedaan, kan ook nooit iets bewijzen.

En misschien is dát wel de mooiste uitvinding van onze tijd.

Niet het medicijn.

Maar het vermogen om sommige vragen zo lang uit te stellen dat niemand zich nog herinnert waarom ze nooit werden gesteld.

De paardenbloem groeit intussen onverstoorbaar verder.

Tussen de stoeptegels.

🇩🇪 1,051 German lawyers just signed a letter to ban a party millions of Germans keep voting for.

Judges, prosecutors and legal experts all say the AfD is unconstitutional and want the courts to shut it down before it climbs any higher in the polls.

The timing gives it away. The AfD is now one of the strongest parties in the country, so the move is to remove it by ruling instead of by vote.

And here's the catch. Under German law, regular citizens get no say in this. Only the government, the Bundestag or the Bundesrat can ask the Constitutional Court to kill off a party.

So a leading opposition party could be banned by the exact establishment it's beating.

Whatever you think of the AfD, that part should worry everyone.

There is no consensus on the effects of human CO2 emissions on the climate. The famous 97% figure completely falls apart under scrutiny.

Cook et al. (2013), the study this figure is based on, reviewed almost 12,000 papers.

But two-thirds were immediately thrown out simply for expressing no opinion.

Of the remaining papers, less than a third said humans caused some warming.

Only 0.5% actually claimed humans caused most of it.

Crucially, not a single paper endorsed the idea of a "man-made climate catastrophe."

The 97% consensus is statistical sleight of hand -- a manufactured concern, not a scientific reality.
