Teaching them has been challenging. Finally seeing what two years of inconsistent schooling causes, has made me get very creative in catching these kids up.
I have had more child trauma than any other year. From sexual assault, running away, to physical abuse, and being shot. Truly, these kids have been through it all.
districts would rather have teachers and students masked (and miserable) in hot classrooms with no A/C (and not enough space) than to admit that it’s time to rethink how we do “normal school.”
