@kantoku_125 wow. what a stupid way to go to jail and get banned for life from a zoo. and how inconsiderate of this jerk to the zoo staff and police that now have to deal with him. his parents should be ashamed.
@timtechno1983@skumWgmi ah yes, lets trust the machine programmed by college dropouts that has to constantly be lobotomized to keep from being racist, sometimes hallucinates legal documents, & tells people how great it is to leave their children locked in a hot car. i can see no downsides to this at all
@proud_native_am im going to be completely honest, regulating visable tattoos in armed forces is stupid, besides like swastikas on faces. soldiers have been getting ink in their skins since the invention of written language.
@Gh0st_751@BBally81 you cant call people racial slurs to their face and then try to shoot them when they hit you. this is incitement, and attempted murder. chuddy here started shit, and he tried to kill a man after the guy punched him one time and walked away. hes also such a trigger happy moron,
@timtechno1983@skumWgmi are you fucking stupid? keep that ai bullshit as far away from governance as possible. and populists arent all great, sometimes what the public wants is fucking stupid and bad for them. thats why leaders should consult qualified experts on policy decisions.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar batteries are not a viable option and dont appear to be feasible any time soon. it is going to take new discoveries that may take decades to develop and we dont have that time right now. we need resiliant grids today, and next year.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar dozens of countries are already dumping tons into it because it would be enormously useful for a hundred applications. we can only build grids based on the tech we have right now. waiting around for the tech we want solves nothing. the perfect is the enemy of the good.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar solar panels are really only good for small scale or local solutions, not for large scale power grid needs. and wind is even worse. hydroelectric and geothermal make far better sibstitutes to make up the gap and are better suited to regular grid usage trends.
@HistorianUSA1@primusk9@MagaGrunt1 they listen to the sound of bugs crawling and smell for it. thats why they sometimes bang on chimneys and gutters, the wind can vibrate metal to sound like a log full of bugs.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar now on the final point, if youre down for nuclear, we can just build basically nothing but that and have a perfectly feasible nuclear grid. france does that, like 98% of their energy grid is nuclear and its safe and stable as all hell, and super cheap overal to run.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar also just the battery tech just isnt viable at all. you need way bigger and more expensive batteries than are feasible to make for a whole cities power grid, its insane how much modern batteries suck. theres a reason it took us so long to get electric cars.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar theres only so much money to invest. we cant spend 5 trillion dollars a year on solar panels, we would go bankrupt trying and nobody can make that many even if we could afford it. there are practical and pragmatic limitations on what we can afford to do.
@queenbiscuit311@HomeoftheM@Imposter_Edits@atrupar batteries are insanely ineficcient and expemsive at that scale. it is literally cheaper to just build a nuclear plant. modern batteries cannot really effectively carry that much load for that long every day or even weeks. its not viable. theyre also toxic when they wear out.
