@LNPvoterfail There where slight changes yesterday announced by the treasurer however she said exemptions for CFA/SES members for farms valued up to $5million which would bring this up to just shy of $5k now, not the $4k previously stated.
@LNPvoterfail Under the new format this will increase to $31k per year so yes $4k is not a huge amount.
Remember most farmers are asset rich/cash poor as the value of their land is only usefully if they sell. Take in to account the current drought conditions and this will hit hard.
@LNPvoterfail I am speaking from a primary producer front where the increase will be 189% or 2.89 times the current FSL.
The average farm value per acre in Victoria is $5000/acre and in the Mallee the average farm size is approx 8000 acre. Current FSL approx $11k.
@ColinJEly1@_davidlimbrick And I hope Colin you enjoy growing your own food in your likely inner city home and never have to rely on a farmer again. You're opinion is uninformed and uneducated as to what this will do to agriculture in Victoria.
