Thank you #CarolVorderman for calling @RobKenyonReform out - how the hell someone with his background gets through a selection process I’ll never know. 🤷♀️🙄
Getting ready for the @DIsabilityNW stall raffle #Prestonmela
£1 a ticket - prize every time - be a miracle if I’ve got the right tickets in the right place at the right time 🤣 #charity#fundraiser
Well done to the organisers, dancers, musicians, community groups and helpers - today’s Caribbean Carnival was fantastic- wonderful costumes and great energy from the dancers - not easy in today’s high temperatures ☀️
It was a real honour to attend the opening of the new Tram Bridge in Avenham today. A fantastic moment for the community & a brilliant step forward for local connectivity and regeneration. Proud to see this landmark project come to life. Well done @prestonlabour@prestoncouncil

Reports of my political demise have been greatly exaggerated!
Delighted to be re-elected as leader of @prestoncouncil with a comfortable majority today.
Myself and our @prestonlabour team are as enthusiastic as ever to use every day we have left at our authority to make our city a fairer place.
This means deepening our transformative local agenda to build community wealth, tackle inequalities and stand up for those still left behind🌹.
Looking forward to attending @prestoncouncil new Tram Bridge opening with a group from @DIsabilityNW Really looking forward to being able to walk, wheel and shuffle across it ! ❤️
Absolute honour tonight to be a guest @prestoncouncil 698th Mayor making ceremony - Cllr Nweeda Khan is our new Madam Mayor !
Also very touched that our outgoing Mayor, Cllr Sue Whittam mentioned me in her outgoing Mayors speech. #lovepreston
‘Sandbag Veterans Cafe’ visit this morning- I may not be the #armedforceschampion for @prestoncouncil anymore ….but I’ll always be ‘a’ Armed Forces Champion!
Two queries, a welfare check and a new veteran introduced 👍
It’s about the work not the title ❤️
Delighted and humbled to be chosen again as Leader of Preston Labour Group last night. I remain as hungry as when I started in 2018 to deliver change in my city and tackle long standing inequalities. We have a very exciting year ahead of us as we move toward new unitary authorities and we will use every day to make #Preston a fairer place.
I want to thank @martynrolly for his service to our Labour Council as Deputy Leader for the last 5 years who is stepping back a little to spend more time with his family, especially. Martyn has been the architect of substantial social progress in #Preston and has been responsible for ending austerity at Preston City Council and will be working closely on our new cost of living package amongst many other things.
Our new Council Deputy we will propose at Annual Council will be @valeriewise100 who is a former Leader of Preston City Council and has a mass of experience going back to the days of the Greater London Council back in the 1980's. Valerie will be working alongside myself and the entire Labour team to deepen our transformative local agenda.
