Your post and the Macron announcement ignore the receipts. Canada sits on the world’s third-largest oil reserves, produces among the lowest-emissions-intensity barrels, yet imports ~40% of our crude thanks to Bill C-69 delays, carbon pricing flowing costs through supply chains, UNDRIP/DRIPA vetoes, and over $670 billion in stalled resource projects. Real wages erode while taxes devour 42, 43% of median family income. Brain drain accelerates, investment flees, and per-capita GDP lags. Diversification rhetoric sounds tough until you check the data: the U.S. takes 75%+ of our exports via integrated supply chains, NORAD, and geography no European dinner in Paris changes.

Carney’s France deals and Macron’s “first non-geographic European country” fluff are performative distractions from domestic wreckage. Courts already ruled Liberal COVID mandates and Emergencies Act overreach violated the Charter, Freedom Convoy freezes, coerced policies sidelining natural immunity and risk-stratification for low-risk groups, suppressed early signals on efficacy waning, myocarditis, and excess mortality patterns later validated in inquiries. The same pattern now: stoke anti-U.S. sentiment or European courtship to mask fiscal incontinence, regulatory chokeholds, two-tier enforcement, and parallel systems shredding Section 15 equality under one law for all.

**Sovereign Canada means pragmatic realism, not elbows-up posturing or Davos applause.** Diefenbaker stood for individual liberty and strong sovereignty within North American realities, not alienating our indispensable partner while dependency on U.S. markets remains existential. Wayne Eyre and others warned against turning allies into foes amid border pressures, fentanyl, defense shortfalls, and trade strains. Retaliatory tariffs, boycotts, or anthem-jeering crowds (fueled by Carney-Liberal rhetoric) accelerate decline, not “strategic architecture.”

Evidence-based reform is straightforward: fiscal discipline to bend the debt curve. All-of-the-above energy abundance under statutory timelines, responsible oil/gas/LNG displacing dirtier imports, hydro, SMR nuclear. Immigration tied to infrastructure and capacity. Fast-track modern treaties with finality, clear title, individual property rights, and uniform Charter rules ending race-based vetoes. Restore clinical/individual autonomy, no public-health or identity exceptions gutting rights. Measure by verifiable outcomes: affordability, jobs, productivity, prosperity for citizens first. One Charter standard applied equally. No more narrative control or managed decline.

Canadians live this failure at every checkout, pump, ER wait, and empty promise. Enough with the European fantasies and globalist priorities. Precision over propaganda. Evidence over excuses. Citizens first. Canada first.

The focus of the claim is specific: whether the Defendants, acting through coordinated public messaging, mandates, and incentives, misrepresented material facts and implemented coercive measures that vitiated informed consent, exceeded statutory authority, and caused foreseeable harm.

Informed consent requires that individuals receive full, accurate, and complete information, and that they have the freedom to decide without coercion, threat, or fear of social or economic consequences. Bodily autonomy means that every person maintains control over what happens to their own body. When senior political leaders and public health authorities insert themselves into these personal rights, by promoting only benefits, minimizing risks, or attaching consequences to refusal, consent ceases to be informed, and autonomy ceases to be autonomy. It becomes compliance, driven not by choice but by state-imposed pressure.

Canada’s institutional obsession with land acknowledgements and historical guilt has officially jumped the shark.

Every university lecture, corporate meeting, school event, and government memo now seems to begin with the same rehearsed confession about whose land we are supposedly standing on. It has become a civic ritual, complete with liturgy, original sin, and mandatory public piety.

Strip away the administrative sermonizing and the whole thing rests on a very shaky version of history.

We are expected to pretend pre-contact North America was a peaceful, static, eco-friendly paradise where distinct peoples lived in permanent harmony until Europeans arrived and ruined everything.

That is not history. That is mythology.

Worse, it is patronizing. It strips Indigenous peoples of their full humanity by pretending they were somehow immune to the normal forces that shaped every other society on earth: ambition, conflict, trade, migration, alliance, conquest, revenge, and expansion.

The actual history of this continent was not a postcard. It was dynamic, complex, and often brutal.

The Haudenosaunee expansion during the Beaver Wars reshaped huge parts of what is now Southern Ontario. The Huron-Wendat, Neutral, and Erie peoples were devastated, displaced, or absorbed through war and political domination.

On the plains, the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Iron Confederacy, and others fought long struggles over territory, trade, horses, resources, and survival. Peoples moved. Borders shifted. Alliances formed and collapsed. Some groups conquered. Some retreated. Some disappeared into larger political orders.

History did not begin when Cartier sailed up the St. Lawrence.

This land was already a theatre of power, movement, conflict, diplomacy, and displacement long before Europeans arrived.

The modern Canadian narrative treats European colonisation as a unique cosmic crime, as if conquest and territorial displacement were invented in 1492. They were not. Europeans arrived as a technologically dominant global power and did what powerful groups had done across human history, including on this continent.

That does not make the suffering harmless. It does not erase broken treaties, residential schools, forced relocations, or government abuse. Those things happened, and they matter.

But a serious country cannot build its future on a childish version of the past.

Every habitable part of the world has been taken, lost, fought over, inherited, traded, defended, and taken again. The people Europeans encountered were not frozen in moral perfection. They were human beings living inside history, not outside it.

The guilt industry does not repair the past. It often paralyzes the present.

Canada cannot move forward by treating itself as a permanent crime scene or by dividing citizens into inherited moral categories of “settler” and “Indigenous.”

We can tell the truth about cruelty, conquest, broken promises, and injustice without pretending history had a correct stopping point right before European ships appeared.

A mature country does not need ritual guilt.

It needs honesty, equal citizenship, legal clarity, and the courage to build a future instead of endlessly prosecuting the past.
