To me, a meaningful gift is when someone gets me something that they know I wanted or needed, rather than a generic purse or necklace or something. I like gifts that I can use for years, not something I'll leave in my closet to rot or eventually give away.

If you aren't sure about the validity of a source. You can also google companies or news sources you aren't familiar with.
We are in the age of social media, it's important to arm yourself with the right tools. #isitcredible
Making sure that the sources you use are credible and give all the facts because spreading false news can cause unnecessary confusion, fear, and anger. Many sources online will use explosive language to garner attention and make profit. Don't fall for it. #isitcredible
As we've seen in the past, getting the right information is crucial to us as a society, even more so now with elections around the corner. Not everything on social media is true, lots of it will exaggerate or lie about things to get views. #isitcredible
@kevinp305@Vale_Foglia13@HarbingerMLEC@billboard I feel like there's still a lot to be said about older artists and why we still remember them. Think about longevity; we might talk about Bad Bunny now, but what about in 30-60 years? His songs are popular for a month or two and then gone. Why would he be any different?
Dedicating a class to an artist who is still alive is an interesting concept. I feel like it's more common for people to study your career and influence after you die/retire. #ArtistCourseTalk
@HarbingerMLEC I don't really follow any current artists so I don't think I'd take a class on any of them. Maybe I'd change my mind based on the content though. #ArtistCourseTalk
@Sofia_p4 The right to bear arms shouldn't be used to excuse hundreds of thousands of dead, injured, and traumatized people. Last week, The Harbinger discussed derogatory terms and free speech; if the 1st amendment has limitations to protect the people, why doesn't the 2nd? #GunControlTalk
@s_sophiv Voting is one of the strongest tools citizens have in this country. Politicians can sound as sympathetic as they want on social media, but the numbers speak for themselves. @GunControlTalk
The NRA continuously spends millions of dollars to support or oppose politicians, and then we wonder why it's so difficult to pass gun regulations. This spreadsheet shows just how much money is going into the pockets of these people: https://t.co/mG8pDo5nJv

The NRA has donated over $13 million to Mitt Romney. The same senator sending thoughts and prayers while not voting for stricter gun control. The Enhanced Background Checks Act of 2021 and the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2021 have yet to be passed. #GunControlTalk
According to a survey by pew research in 2018, over half of students and their parents are worried about a possible school shooting at their school.

Sometimes numbers alone aren't able to get across the severity or impact of a problem, so here is a map from Gun Violence Archive that shows gun-related deaths so far in 2022.

People also make the argument that "we all find different things funny", these words have left people crying, bleeding, and dehumanized. When did they become a stylistic choice?
#derogatorytermstalk
I've notices that a lot of comedians use derogatory terms and slurs in their jokes, or even make them the center of their jokes and it's led to a situation where preferring comedians who don't blatantly disrespect others for a joke is seen as "soft". #derogatorytermstalk
As it's been established, free speech doesn't mean freedom of consequences. Many derogatory terms carry a heavy past with them that we should acknowledge and educate on as a society rather than shove under the rug and normalize.

You know I love my friends, but sometimes when they use the B-word to refer to women in general especially when they say it with a negative connotation I get uncomfortable. Women did not fight for equality to then face criticism through derogatory terms. #DerogatoryTermsTalk
