my main takeaway:
it doesn’t feel like hype anymore
more like the pieces are slowly coming together
and we’re getting closer to apps that actually feel usable
6/6
my takeaway:
this isn’t just scaling in the usual sense
it’s more like redesigning how apps run onchain
so they feel closer to normal apps, not limited by blockchain rules.
1/6
feels like people talk about scaling a lot…
but rarely about how it’s actually done under the hood
went through the core ideas behind @magicblock and it’s more than just “make it faster”
5/6
also interesting:
they’re giving developers more control over things like
- ordering
- timing
- execution logic
basically turning the runtime into something flexible, not fixed.
The MagicBlock Private Payments API is now live on @Solana
Add confidential SPL transfers into your app in minutes with one API call
Compliant by default, it includes payment splits and time-delayed releases 🧵👇

my takeaway:
onchain doesn’t have to mean “everything is visible forever”
there’s space for more flexible privacy models
and this feels like a step toward making apps actually usable.
1/6
payments onchain are transparent by default…
which is great, but also kinda awkward sometimes
went through how @magicblock is thinking about private payments, and it’s actually pretty interesting.
5/6
which makes sense for things like:
- payments between users
- in-app purchases
- business logic that shouldn’t be public
basically… normal use cases
