@RichMillington This is a big issue and headache as a community manager collaborating with some internal security teams. Security teams usually win in my world and in my experience tend to be less concerned w the customer experience. Can be maddening.
If you hear the feedback:
"I don't have time to participate in the community"
What they're really saying is:
"The community isn't offering enough value for me to make time for it".
Find out what these folks do make time for and you're on to a winner.

@DavidSpinks Bring a mom of a middle schooler I can attest that our family community strengthened huge during Covid. I wonder if that influenced. I was working from home and we were all in it together.
BREAKING: my husband was just talking to a casual acquaintance whose name he couldn’t remember, so he said “I’m sorry I forget your name?” and the guy told him his name. I didn’t know you could do that??
@RichMillington@caremjo I got stuck in this when first creating our online community 2 years ago. I wanted gamification so badly that it went in this way and it was totally…. Useless! But now we know and round 2 will be wayyy different.
