yes and no: the outline is there as a roadmap and sometimes my plot points are written like: "when you get here, figure out how to do (insert main plot point)"

THAT'S when i take a shortcut off of a cliff and a detour to get to my next plot point in a way that makes any sense 😭

The issue is that what used to be suggestions to help make the plot flow better and possibly have more engaging character conflicts have warped into, "the author didn't make the story I want so it's bad". It completely ignores the context of what the story was trying to convey.
