You are nothing more than a propaganda machine for.. you know who. For a country deeply affected by ethnic tensions, a presidential system may actually be a better option. An elected president would have to negotiate with and work with different political parties and constituencies, encouraging compromise and requiring leaders to balance competing interests for the benefit of the country as a whole. But instead of engaging in a meaningful discussion about what system might best serve Ethiopia, you guys continue to spread divisive propaganda and focus on PM. Nothing new, but it is getting much better. In the mid-2000s, I remember that in some places in Addis Ababa, whenever you washed your face, you could see black soot coming out of your nostrils. Things have improved significantly since then, especially in recent years after older vehicles were taken off the roads. Your intent here is clear haters. Ethiopian leaders understand what is best for their people. It is positive for Eritrea that the United States is lifting sanctions, but this development does not significantly affect Ethiopia, given Ethiopia’s longstanding partnership with the U.S. Because of that relationship, the U.S. may encourage Eritrea and Ethiopia to pursue peaceful relations and potentially support Ethiopia’s legal pursuit of sea access in a way that does not compromise Eritrean sovereignty or interests—creating a mutually beneficial outcome for both countries. This scenario benefits all party including the US as the growth of Ethiopian economy creates more market for the US companies and investors. Don’t mud this good news, a the TPLf defender Tronvoll.

If the incident shown in the video truly occurred, it should absolutely be condemned. However, I have no doubt that this is staged for political effect. Most ENDF soldiers, and even many insurgents across Ethiopia have farming backgrounds, so they understand the value of agricultural work and the effort it requires. That alone makes the behavior shown in the video highly unlikely. On top of that, ENDF soldiers do not wear back tags with the Ethiopian flag, which is another clear sign that the footage is fabricated. It is aimed to dope the likes of you who make big conclusions with limited evidence. Get your facts straight.

Merara and et al., are politically irrelevant. There is a new sheriff in town, a new direction. The old narratives that divide the country can’t bring us forward. Clinging to outdated ethnic politics won’t help rebuild national cohesion. What can help is a genuine national dialogue( which already started); one that includes the possibility of revising the current administrative structure in a way that unifies rather than fragments. That kind of inclusive approach is what Ethiopia needs. Unfortunately, outlets like Addis Standard and co. groups remain stuck inside the ideological box created by the old leftist the likes of TPLF/ OLF. You struggle to imagine solutions beyond the frameworks handed down by those, outdated movements. The future demands something different: unity built on equality and mutual respect.
