@adamboxer1 I did it to fit my working-life around my children’s schedule. Then my first year in the job ended up working 75 hours per week for an academy. Now I have my own business and am still doing the odd day of supply. Struggling to let go.

@rlrossi64 (2/2) the difficult times normally required to gain that knowledge/experience. It’s shapes us, makes us great empathy and is part of the learning that literally helps our brains grow (neurons etc.).
@rlrossi64 I always say that the point in all literature is to teach us about the human condition. The thoughts/motivations/actions haven’t really changed since the recorded word and particularly since the emergence of fiction. It’s equipping us with life-lessons without having to go (1/2)
Well teaching, it’s been short and bittersweet. Years and years of graft to get there but hopefully it’s not over forever. And a healing process begins… #teacher
@Black88Heather@MissHudsonHist Totally agree. I would love to see a more flexible education system again, that doesn’t focus purely on academic results. We need trades and vocational subjects to be taught in schools again. Most of the pupils I teach have such low self-esteem because they only see grades.
