Today, I inform members of the public of a major scandal within government, overseen by the highest office in the land. It regards a scandal worth over sh. 1.89 billion on cyber security maintenance.

I have reliable information to believe that the story about the State House website being hacked into in July was a hoax meant to pave way for this scandal. The government has since issued a directive to government institutions to each pay Ksh. 4.7 million, totalling to over sh. 1.89 billion, ostensibly for maintenance of the government's domain and email security. This is blatant theft of public money.

For market comparison, the ordinary rate of maintaining a domain is not more than Ksh. 5,000.

We condemn this budgeted corruption in totality.

Recruitment slots were said to be sold for up to KSh 600,000. Transfers and promotions are called compromised. Roadblocks were described as “corruption toll stations.” Officers live in dilapidated housing. Stations lack basic kit and even rooms for sexual-violence cases.

Still wrecked by the culture behind the 2015 and 2018 scandals. The report wants it parked in Interior, a competitively picked Council, legal status and medical cover for servicemen/women, and seed money so it can earn its keep.

The National Police Service (NPS) remains committed to eradicating the manufacture, sale and consumption of illicit brews nationwide. Yesterday, 30 August 2026, police officers from Konoin Police Station and National Government Administration Officers (NGAO) from Mogogosiek in Bomet County conducted a successful operation targeting illicit brewing networks. The multi-agency team raided a notorious brewing den and recovered 150 litres of illicit brew; one key suspect was placed in custody at Konoin Police Station, awaiting arraignment.

In a separate operation, police officers from Chepalungu Police Station and the NGAO team from Ariyiet Sub-Location successfully recovered 90 litres of illicit brew. Police apprehended two suspects during the operation, and they were placed in custody at Chepalungu Police Station pending arraignment. The illicit brews have also been secured as exhibits.

We express our gratitude to members of the public who continue to share timely information with police officers, which has made these operations possible across the country.

Former CJ David Maraga says police under President William Ruto have killed an average of 990 civilians every year, more than double the annual figures recorded under the Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta administrations.

According to Maraga, an average of 404 people were killed annually under Mwai Kibaki, compared with 415 under Uhuru Kenyatta.

The figures raise serious questions about the use of lethal force and the protection of civilians under the current administration.
