@boywonder34 @winebaee You may want to think about getting out of the “mental health” field you are in, if you truly are in this career. You are doing way more harm than good if you are.
@twumpat @Supermathie@ziibiing Most importantly, he definetly does not have the overwhelming fear inside that this is the day he is going to die for no reason. This is what I am trying to get across to him.
@twumpat @Supermathie@ziibiing I have discussed traffic stops with my son in the last. I’ve asked him how he feels when it happens- a little nervous, or annoyed? Maybe. But we discussed that he does not get a pit in his stomach, does not plan out how he’s going to act and what to say. 1/
@mhdksafa Although…what social program or opportunity did Tyre seem to need? He wasn’t doing anything. He was pulled over for…what? Just innocently driving home. No social program would have saved him. Police reform would have.
@damilolly_x @sarahkovac@brieanni@ziibiing I disagree to an extent. We are desensitized. We hear horrible things every day, not just about racism but about a multitude of other issues. It can be easy to push it away. I think we do need to look.
@damilolly_x @sarahkovac@ziibiing My converstions with my son have been frequent and ongoing. But I am not naive enough to realize that society can easily undo what I instill.
@damilolly_x @sarahkovac@ziibiing Again, you don’t know me. This event is not an isolated incident in my life as far as addressing this issue. Twitter can skew things. I stand by you all the way.
