@erinentrada This is Cody. He wad dropped off at a high kill shelter. He was adopted, but then returned to the shelter after 3 weeks. We got him from a rescue that pulled him from the shelter. He’s a sweetheart and super smart and loves to eat watermelon (and everything else, really)

@AllisonAuthor I own one and am in my 50s. I don't use it much. My mother laughed and laughed a few years ago when my daughter (maybe around 8 then) didn't know what an iron was. I remember "doing the ironing" as one of my occasional chores growing up. Don't miss it.

I know I was read to a lot, but only explicit instruction was from Sesame St. My daughter entered kinder at age 5 1/2 able to decode simple CVC words. It really clicked for her around 6 1/2, when she became a truly independent reader.

@GillianMcKeith Thank you, Kaiser. My immune compromised loved one does not have the freedom to choose among nurses when hospitalized. Glad not to have to worry about her being “cared” for by a “professional” who feels it is ok to walk around unvaxxed and unmasked in a hospital setting.
