Easter Monday would have been the 42nd Mells Daffodil Day, which has been held annually in the village since 1979. We are very sad that the pandemic has meant the event is unable to happen for the second year in a row. Keeping our fingers crossed for 2022. Watch this space.
Mells Daffodil Festival will be taking a break in 2020. We're very grateful to all those who supported us this year - it was a fantastic day. But it's a huge commitment for our volunteer team and we've decided to take a year off in 2020. Sorry...we hope to be back in 2021.
We will be celebrating 40 years of Mells Daffodil Days tomorrow. If you get time please do drop into St Andrews Church where we have put together an exhibition with pictures and newspaper cuttings from previous years.
Live music all day in the Cheese & Grain bar at Daffodil Day tomorrow. We have a great line up for you to enjoy - in keeping with our 1979 theme. Donโt forget to come in 70s fancy dress for the disco competition at 12pm which will be judged by River Monsters star Jeremy Wade
