(1/5) #MelroseMA You may have noticed more activity on this account over the last several weeks... @VoterChoiceMA's 2020 campaign to enact ranked choice voting at the state level made clear that a substantial number of MA voters across the political spectrum believe in RCV as
When we talk about “proportional representation”, we mean that all groups of people get representation in the government that’s proportional to their share of the population. We’re working to make that happen with #RCV and multi-member districts! https://t.co/rBKy7QhOap
Competitive elections are important. Without them, candidates have less incentive to engage with voters. Research shows that under #RankedChoiceVoting elections, candidates are more engaged with the electorate and run more positive campaigns! https://t.co/jF2sIv0ImU
#RankedChoiceVoting helps us in the battle against plurality elections. It helps us ensure that candidates are elected with sweeping support instead of just 20 or 30 percent of the vote.
When the vote is "split," the candidate elected may not have broad support. Since #RankedChoiceVoting mitigates "vote splitting," it helps ensure our representatives are widely supported.
Ranked choice voting is gaining popularity because it’s giving people a better voice in their democracy. People can vote for the candidates they align with instead of being forced to vote defensively every election. RCV makes our democracy stronger. That’s why I support it.
I’m extremely glad to see ranked choice voting expanding to Nevada, with proposals for it becoming more and more common across the country. RCV is the way forward — a way of letting us vote for who we want, rather than just voting against who we don’t. It makes us all better off.
Tomorrow, #RankedChoiceVoting will be used to:
1️⃣ Choose members of Congress
2️⃣ Choose a Governor
3️⃣ Choose a U.S. Senator
4️⃣ Choose state legislators
5️⃣ Choose local officials all the way down the ballot

We were so excited to see our Executive Director, Pattye Comfort, on WCVB this past weekend discussing changes for this year's election. Watch the segment here: https://t.co/8RSCctwSbj
#RankedChoiceVoting rewards those who run positive campaigns, and actively reach out to voters who favor someone else. Candidates are catching on. https://t.co/u1hVSFJAYL
Fans in Nevada. Vote yes on Question 3 to open primaries, increasing the amount of voters instead of party bosses and special interests. Question 3 would also implement a ranked-choice voting system for NV elections. Learn more at: https://t.co/8T7imfWSfY
#MelroseMA Ranked Choice Voting is on the ballot in a record 10 U.S. jurisdictions this November. (https://t.co/hhlM2tcSxf)

"How can we achieve gender balance in gubernatorial representation?
1. Fund women candidates equally.
2. Implement #RankedChoiceVoting.
3. Prioritize gender balance in cabinets."
"Governors, male and female alike, play a crucial role in advancing women’s representation. Governors set the state’s policy agenda, appoint judges and have opportunities to uplift women."
