🚨 BIG INCOME TAX COMPLIANCE CHANGE FROM 1 APRIL 2026 🚨
Now maintaining books of account is not enough…Under new Rule 46(8) of Income-tax Rules, 2026, businesses and professionals maintaining books in electronic mode may now be required to:
✅ Take DAILY backup of books of account
✅ Store backup on servers physically located in INDIA
✅ Ensure books remain accessible in India at all times
This rule can impact:
📌 Tally Users
📌 Zoho Books Users
📌 Cloud Accounting Users
📌 ERP Systems (SAP/Oracle etc.)
📌 Companies & LLPs
📌 Professionals & Businesses under tax audit
⚠ Weekly backup may not be sufficient.
⚠ Foreign cloud storage without India replication may become risky.
Tax Audit Reports may also require reporting regarding compliance of Rule 46(8).
Non-compliance may lead to:
❌ Penalty under Income Tax Act
❌
now review:
✔ Daily Backup policy
✔ Server location
✔ Cloud infrastructure
✔ Audit trail systems
✔ Data retention process
This is one of the biggest digital compliance changes introduced under Income-tax Rules, 2026.
I have draft email for asking such details

🚨GSTR-2B TECHNICAL ISSUE ALERT🚨
For March 2026, some invoices for certain supplier GSTINs are not getting reflected in GSTR-2B.
On verification in IMS, the invoices are available but the return status is showing as “Non-Filed”, despite the supplier having filed return within time. In one case, the supplier filed on 8 April [Pics 👇]
Taxpayers who rely solely on GSTR-2B while filing GSTR-3B should be careful this month!!
@Infosys_GSTN Kindly look into this issue urgently

For a simple horn switch issue (all other switches working fine), I’m being asked to replace the entire left switch assembly instead of repairing the faulty switch alone. Why isn’t individual switch-level service supported when connectors are separate? Unfair cost! @tvsiqube
If you run a business, this is a buyer-side compliance checklist👇
Turnover above ₹10 crore and purchases over ₹50 lakh from one seller trigger Section 194Q.
TDS applies only on the excess amount, excluding GST.
