JUST IN: REDDIT TO BURN 34% OF $MOON SUPPLY

- The @Reddit associated $MOON token surged more than 200% in just a few hours, following an update released by mods on the Reddit platform itself.

- The update, which includes a “plan forward” for $MOON, is set against a backdrop of community outrage at the company’s recent abandonment of its #cryptocurrency initiatives.

Key Tenets of the Update…

- Reddit admins will renounce control of the $MOON token contract - something which will occur by the end of November. But what does this mean…?

◽ No new $MOON can be created, effectively hard-capping its supply.

◽ Contract becomes un-editable, making it thereafter fully decentralized.

◽ @Reddit will burn all $MOON in the ‘Community Tank’, permanently reducing the token’s supply by 34%, to just ~83.2M tokens.

◽ This will mean that $MOON ceases to be an inflationary asset, and becomes deflationary/static.

The New Plan for $MOON…

- The post also clarifies Reddit’s intention to “work with the community to develop a plan forward for Moons”.

- This will involve the proposed distribution of $MOON tokens in the “community wallet”.

- There are also plans to re-introduce $MOON holdings displayed next to usernames, as well as $MOON tipping functionality.

- The mod team will also be working to expand and redevelop the wider utility of the $MOON token.
