British journalist Tommy Robinson detained using police powers under the TERRORISM ACT, one day after hosting a patriotic gathering with tens of thousands of British citizens.

According to a statement from @TRobinsonNewEra team:

“We can confirm that Tommy Robinson has been detained by Police using powers afforded to them under the Terrorism Act 2000.

That's right, you read that correctly, Tommy is being held by Police using counter terrorism legislation.

We will update you as and when we can.”

While it is unclear at this time, why he has been detained police did announce via X yesterday they were looking into a screening of his film ‘Silenced’ that was screened during the ‘Uniting the Kingdom’ event.

Robinson, previously had an injunction which banned him from repeating claims made in the film about a Syrian refugee.

The detainment comes 24 hours after tens of thousands gathered in London’s Trafalgar Square in a rally organised by Robinson, uniting British people together to show pride in their country.

Thousands waved British and English flags as they joined the even which was dubbed the largest UK patriotic rally ever by the organizers.
