Ya’ll need to Go back and watch old tape. He was amazing. QBs were not protected in the 80s and 90s. They played hurt, intentional grounding was anything not in a receivers catchable radius when under pressure. You wonder why there’s such a stark contrast in interceptions between now and then. Well there you go.
Bottom line. The QBs that thrived In the 70s-90s would absolutely dominate today’s game. Can’t say the same for the qbs today playing In those times. Most of their careers would be cut short.
@b_rad_is_raddd@PlayerA_18@TotalProSports Maye could be. The jury is still out. Darnold is only the 5th Qb in history with back to back 13 win seasons and the only one to do it with two different teams. Interesting stat. All 5 won a superbowl.
@b_rad_is_raddd@TotalProSports It’s a certain type of swagger and rare for sure. Other players that have had it would be Brady, Aikman, Suh, Butkus, Ray Lewis, Jordan and Kobe to name a few.
@b_rad_is_raddd@TotalProSports You can’t measure killer instinct and the ultimate desire to crush you. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees did not have that. Taylor for sure did.
@VinnysCorner1 History is a long time. 140 plus years. The only correct answer is no. There is only 1 maybe 2 modern players still alive that are top 5 alltime.
@dechico2004@VinnysCorner1 Number 6 in all time hits for a career.
And the World Series dominance had a homegrown core.
Mariano Rivera
Derek Jeter
Jorge Posada
Andy Pettitte
Bernie Williams
Brett Gardner
Name a single team that didn’t bring in talent and missing pieces to win a World Series. 🤡
