The combination of history, land uses, street, lot sizes, and market boom guaranteed things were going to be messy here. We still think we're leaving it better than it could have been, even if there are fundamental flaws we need to address as a city.

MARTA service doubled now, buses every 15 mins at peak bt BeltLine, Downtown. Chipping away at sidewalks, Oakland East gate.

@ajlamesa @mwgarbett @whiskeyfoxxtrot @atlantadairies Folks at @GADeptofTrans have been great to work with, even if it happens on a timeline that is longer than any of us like. We try to remember that we're dealing with almost a century of decisions about this street.

@ajlamesa @mwgarbett @whiskeyfoxxtrot @atlantadairies Less to do with the building than the entire 10-acre site. All these properties were industrial long before any kind of regulation. Lots of surprises once you start digging, as well as major sewer/stormwater lines that complicate site plans.

@mwgarbett @ajlamesa @whiskeyfoxxtrot @atlantadairies For the record, we think the lender excuse is growing tired, but we still hear it. If local lenders won't be more flexible, we're sure others with experience in other cities will.
