Memphis Theological Seminary students represent a wide range of denominational backgrounds. The largest number of students come from the Cumberland Presbyterian, Missionary Baptist, and United Methodist denominations.
So I get to put some of my theoretical and rhetorical concepts in this course at @MemphisSeminary this Fall; Contextual Exegesis for Preaching: The Art of Preaching and the Rhetoric of the Sermon. The description is below.
"My favorite thing about being a student at Memphis Theological Seminary was the opportunity to participate in ministry at a local hospital and local missions." - Iletha Washington, MDiv '23
I am pleased to announce that I am the recipient of the 2023 @ccfamemphis Dean's Award for Outstanding Research. I would like to thank the committee my chair and my dean for their continued support of my research and scholarship.
Thank you all!
MTS congratulates Dr. Christopher Davis on his appointment as interim President of LeMoyne Owen College. Dr. Gathje: “Dr. Davis has been an excellent professor and creative force in the DMin program. I am grateful for his ministry at MTS. I wish him the best at LeMoyne Owen.”
"The most wonderful thing about being a student at Memphis Theological Seminary is the people. The relationships that I have formed have been the most amazing experience. I entered a student and left as family. Thank you MTS!"
-Dr. Pamela Wolfe, DMin' 23
"Memphis Theological Seminary is the finest academic institution I've ever been a part of. This is a wonderful family and the instructors don't just teach, they walk with you. I've had a wonderful journey." -- Rev. Sam Jones, MDiv '23
