Men Following Jesus: Hold each other #accountable. Study God’s Word. #Pray. Serve. Support the local church, #Pastor, and #Missions. Minister in His Grace.
We are designed to worship—whether we recognize it as such or not. If we are not worshipping our God who made all things seen and unseen, we will find ourselves worshipping something created by Him or imagined by our selves.
It’s not that we try to follow Jesus or to be like Him and fail. If we believe Him, He has us and abides with us as we abide in Him. The issue is that we keep trying to drag the old man along with us.
We are always trying to summarize what God took at least 66 books and some 40 authors over roughly 1500 years to say into a few perfect words for every situation. We cannot hope to ever do so without the help of the Holy Spirit.
In 2 Peter 3:9, God is patient with you, Church. Not wanting any in this dark world to perish, He is being patient with YOU who are sitting back, covering over with a basket, the Greatest News ever! The Light of the world! We are meant to preach deliverance to the captive.
You can compile all the right ingredients for a church meeting but it won’t be a true worship service apart from the Presence and Power of the Holy Spirit.

God appears to be the only boss who will fire you but let you stay on the job. Consider King Saul. Why is that? Patience? Giving opportunities to repent? Not wanting any to perish?

Praying for that young woman, and more.

The command to go into all the world may require you to venture into the deepest part of your neighbor’s mind, heart, and soul to hear the question she or he is really asking before we try to answer. We need to go into all the world where our neighbor lives!
