It’s with a heavy heart to announce that founder and editor Kelly Boyker Guillemette has passed away. Her passion for words was the scaffold that held Menacing Hedge up. She was a kind, selfless, beautiful person. Our thoughts go to her husband Gio and her family. RIP. X

Thank you, Kelly.
Thank you Menacing Hedge for including two of my poems, "All God's Creatures" and "Death of a Nine-Month-Old Girl, Not My Own" in your final issue.
You will be, are, missed.
@han_smith2 Here are a couple (I've been writing fire-themed poems!) "I've Been Burned" at first link, "Fireproof" at second link: ihttps://chestnutreview.com/cr_v2_n4/ive-been-burned/ https://t.co/4182ITnlwS #firepoems@ChestnutReview@MenacingHedge
In case you missed it, our final farewell edition is now live. It’s been a blast working with so many creative people over the years. We wish all the Menacing Hedge alumni success in the future. https://t.co/mjtSCynhZI
Our final edition is now live.

It’s now confirmed that our Summer/Fall edition will be our last. Menacing Hedge is closing its doors on all submissions effective of today. Having lost our guiding light, and the heart of the magazine, Kelly, that this is our farewell edition.
@Buffalo_Journal Nothing official that I’ve been told.
If anyone wishes to pay tribute to Kelly in anyway, then obviously do. If it’s something you can document, then tag us in and we’ll retweet.
Finally, we were planning our sixth big in-person reading at AWP this year. But without Kelly, that's just not going to happen in a satisfactory way. Huge apologies to those planning to come. If you’re reading at AWP, consider posting details to help you all find each other.
