Ok, here’s my corporate greed call-out of the day.
I was dispatched today for a no-cool call. The indoor unit was running, but the outdoor unit wasn’t.
The system was a 10-year-old Bryant Evolution high-end variable-capacity inverter system. After running the factory diagnostics, I found Code 77, indicating the inverter board was detecting excessive compressor startup current.
Following the manufacturer’s diagnostic procedure, I disconnected the compressor leads to determine whether the fault was in the compressor or the inverter board. The results confirmed the inverter board had failed. The system is only 8 months out of warranty.
At that point, I started preparing myself to tell the customer the repair would probably be around $1,500–$1,900. I figured the board would cost somewhere in the $800–$1,000 range. After all, it’s just a printed circuit board.
Before giving the estimate, I called Carrier Enterprise for pricing.
$8,900.
Not for the entire outdoor unit.
Not for a complete system.
Just the inverter board.
That’s not a typo. $8,900.
In my opinion, this is the definition of engineered obsolescence. There is no reasonable justification for a replacement circuit board on a 10-year-old residential HVAC system to cost nearly nine thousand dollars. At that price, you’re essentially forcing the homeowner to replace the entire system instead of repairing it.
This is exactly why I’ll never sell Carrier equipment. They make decent equipment, but pricing replacement parts like this turns a repairable system into a disposable one. Homeowners deserve better than that.
Carrier Carrier Enterprise or anyone that’s sells this shit, care to elaborate why this board is so expensive?

I am releasing my full documentary on the islamic takeover of Michigan. We are likely to see our first muslim senator in the United States of America. You want to know what Dearborn is actually like?
Watch this video. It starts with a loud call to prayer, it gets broadcasted 5 times a day in Dearborn. This is by far the most important documentary I've ever made.
A man tells me he wants Hezbollah to be allied with the United States. This is just a Wednesday in Dearborn. I went around for 6 hours and found less than 10 people who said they spoke English. Are you watching closely? Do you see how we will lose our nation like this?
Have conversations about this footage with people you've avoided politics with in the future because you'll lose your freedom to do so sooner than you think.
@DeepWithARifle@shagbark_hick It’s inductive thinking. I believe he thinks he has more experience than he does. And a deep failure to recognize his own limitations and biases.
@shagbark_hick I have years of examples of my husband’s wonderful career, both as a crew leader himself, and a man the company owner always called on to think outside the box and get the impossible done. He did not do that by being a yes man, but someone who forcefully led.
@shagbark_hick This could only be written by someone with a minimum of experience in a normal, high pressure work environment with strong men and women and competent bosses. I have examples from my own experience in mgmt valuing employe experience and helping them grow.
The media is ignoring the biggest story in America. Election auditors have found that more fraudulent votes were cast than the margin of victory for Zohran Mamdani in 2025. Over 230,000 illegal votes have been identified while Mamdani won by 207,000 votes. He STOLE the election!!
If Mamdani would like me, a white New Yorker who never owned slaves, to pay a black New Yorker who never was a slave, then I propose:
Every Muslim in NYC starting with Mamdani, should pay us for 9/11.
Please explain why the latter makes no sense but the former does.
Did you know that when an inmate on death row is euthanized by lethal injection they use potassium chloride but they also use an anesthetic and paralyzing agent to ease the pain of the potassium chloride. If they didn’t do that the person would feel themselves being burned alive from the inside…so it is a bit of mercy.
Abortionists also use potassium Chloride directly into the hearts of babies they m*rder except they do not also use a paralyzing agent and anesthetic.
The death row murderer is shown more mercy than a little tiny *innocent* baby.
Bro this is legit fucking insane…
I don’t know how this is legal. He’s calling for the people of NYC to form a mob to make anyone who supports Israel (Jews) feel unsafe and unwelcome.
I don’t see how NYC recovers from this shit. This is straight out of 1930s Germany…
I wanted to let everyone know that my husband @DanVanAckeren1 took his own life on Friday, July 24, 2026. He was suffering for 5 years after the COVID-19 Pfizer vax gave him Multiple System Atrophy & other conditions.
His was the 3rd suicide this week. My fight isn’t over.
@DoorDash_Help why can’t you actually have a complaint feature on your app that handles problems? I don’t want a refund, a discount, or any money. I want you to handle a serious issue with a driver!
@wilsonhlthcoach How about this. Every positive and consistent improvement I’ve had in my diet, health, and life has mostly come after I learned to pursue and accept one thing at a time, mostly small changes. They add up and change your life.
Moshe Yezhak Grunhaus, the Jewish man stabbed yesterday in Manhattan, was in the process of moving to Florida.
He was leaving Florida because he was afraid of a New York under Mamdani. I'm sure plenty scoffed when they found out.
And then, as he was leaving synagogue, he was stabbed. In Mamdani's New York City.
The worst part about being a Jew is constantly being proven right. Because not only do we usually get hurt in the process, but it doesn't even make people more likely to believe us next time.
While Obama, Hillary, and Panetta were at Andrews AFB on September 14, 2012 putting on the dignified transfer show for our brothers…
The Annex team and DS team was still in Germany. We got left there on purpose so we couldn’t be at that ceremony.
When we landed at Ramstein, the USO was waiting on the tarmac. They knew we left everything behind in Benghazi, so they had clothes, shoes, socks, and toiletries set up for us.
The Tripoli Embassy people who had all their luggage and plenty of time to pack went through the line first. As we sat there just watching, they took every last damn thing. Socks, Underwear, Pants, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Mouthwash, all of it. Looked like flies hoarding on a fresh pile of shit. They couldn’t get to the stuff fast enough. Nothing left for the guys who still had blood on their boots.
As the whole team from Benghazi just sat there looking at these flies, the @The_USO team came up, talked to us, and asked if we were the guys from Benghazi. They left and came back with a couple hundred bucks each on a card so we could go buy clothes and toiletries the next morning, thank GOD!
We got debriefed again in Germany and asked if we wanted to talk to the FBI. We looked at each other this was a terrorist attack. The military should be handling it, not treating it like some criminal case.
We learned about the ceremony and had to watch that whole thing from Germany. Then once their ceremony was over, they came to us and said, “You can go home now… but you got to find and buy your own plane ticket back.”
We watched the whole “it was a video protest that turned into a riot” lie from Germany as well and knew every word of it was bullshit.
That’s what we were doing while they put on the show.
Never forget. Never stop telling the truth.

Islamic terrorists in NIgeria just kidnapped the wife of Pastor Moses Guguma - and their three young children.
You won't hear about any of this from mainstream media because the widespread persecution and slaughter of Christians by Islamists is a subject they will not touch.
@wilsonhlthcoach Would probiotic foods be useful? I’m very sensitive to antibiotics and after a hospital stay for days of intravenous treatment for infection, it took me 3 weeks of kefir, fermented pickles, kombucha, homemade cultured yogurt, and probiotic pills to get some good bacteria going.
@CaryKelly11 I know a lady who makes all kinds of ferments, kefir, kombucha, kraut, vegetables. Yogurt. What you’d love that I also get from her is a delicious sour cream made from the raw milk she gets. And man, fermented butter. I don’t know how you do that, but I love it.
Penn State has 42,000 undergrads. Exactly 10 graduated in women's, gender & sexuality studies (WGSS) in 2023–24. The department lists 28 professors.
The "studies" department racket is real: every department combined—area, cultural, gender, black, Asian, Native American, Hispanic, ethnic—accounts for just 0.3% of all four-year graduates in the United States.
How do departments with 10 majors justify 28 faculty? As @firstthingsmag's @mark_bauerlein points out in @WSJopinion, they do so by colonizing general education. If "Introduction to Queer Theory," "Fashion, Gender, and Identity," and a bevy of other WGSS courses didn't check the gen-ed box, enrollments would vanish. And so would the faculty lines in the department.
Public universities are public institutions, answerable to public oversight. Legislatures and trustees should do more to exercise it: reset gen-ed policy by streamlining it back to essentials.
