The level of support behind a project or fundraise matters.

If you decide to name-drop some big name “notable” or “honorary” people in the space, make sure:

1. They’re actually okay with it.
2. They genuinely support your project in a meaningful way.

If I DM someone on your list (I always do as most are friends) and they say, “I only put in a small ticket for exposure,” or “they made me an honorary NFT and that’s it,” or even worse, they don’t know they are being name dropped, it creates unnecessary negative feelings around the project.

Don’t kill your drop before it even starts.
