It’s so interesting to me how much makeup is worn by mainly women these days. I see these women on instagram putting LAYERS of makeup on, and even fake freckles on their noses??

Trail thoughts: I don’t like evil and suffering as much as the next guy. However, it is through this broken world we are able to love the unlovable, heal the sick, and fix the broken as Jesus did.

Jesus didn’t offer explanations for everything; instead, He gave Himself for us to follow.

“Come to me, well you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matt. 11:28-30).

Jesus offers rest for our souls; something this world cannot offer us. Let us learn from the good Shepherd, and rest safely in His arms.

This goes for marriage and fellow members of Christ’s body.

Satan seeks to kill and destroy that very unity.

Instead of dwelling on divisive news that promotes an “us versus them” mentality, let us fix our attention on the One who gave us the ultimate Good News.

Christ came to Earth saving that which was lost, rescuing us out of our sinful filth bringing us abundant life.

This reminds me of Jesus and NT writers that instill hope in those whose faith is in Christ. There is power in merely believing, hoping, and trusting in the saving power of Christ and His Spirit.
