@_retiredCNO It wasn’t long after Nic left the hospital as well.
Of course, she made a pit stop back at home to allow Atlas some time to use the bathroom and herself time to change into a pair of jeans and a tank top.
About 10 minutes later, she was finally walking through the-
@_retiredCNO “I can meet you there.” She states while grabbing her backpack from her office filled with her spare clothes.
“I have to rush home to let my dog out but I only like 3 minutes from Joe’s.”
@_retiredCNO Her gaze searched the area for a moment, pondering his words.
“I suppose I can make that do, it has been a long day and technically you’re not really my patient anymore.”
@_retiredCNO She nods, closing the door as she exited.
“Yeah, nice retirement.” She smiles remembering the experience.
“I am doing good, you were actually my last patient to see.”
@_retiredCNO And now confusion settled to her brows before to brushed off his words.
“Oh, Joe’s?” She questioned, her eyes now scanning over the other’s features.
“Ohhh, I think I remember you. I go there often with friends.”
@_retiredCNO -go over all the nitty gritty questions for the older man.
The whole process took about 30 minutes with being able to schedule an outpatient appointment for the individual.
“You are all set for next week on monday with one of my colleagues, Mr Grant.”
@_retiredCNO “Yeah, we can definitely help you out with that.” Nic smiles before once again grabbing at her clipboard.
“Sadly, this session won’t be a true therapy session are you are wishing for, but more so answering the intake questions.” She smiles, beginning to now-
@_retiredCNO She gave a faint nod towards her words, though a brow rose.
“Yes, normally Veterans suffer from PTSD.” She states, crossing her legs now.
“Is that what you’d like to talk about?”
@_retiredCNO -asks with a warm smile to her lips.
“My name is Nicolette, I’m one of the mental health nurse practitioners here. What seems to be going on?” She asks, taking a seat on a nearby stool.
@_retiredCNO Nicolette was just finishing up for the day before she got a paged consult.
This was normal for her, so she happily took the patient and agreed to do an evaluation.
With a clipboard in her hand, she gave the door a quick knock before entering the room.
“Mr Grant?” She-
@DrSmartMouth “My name is Nicolette, not nurse.” She barked out while she began to walk away from the other individual.
“I am a nurse practitioner with my own patients that I don’t pawn off to someone else.” She shot back with a glare.
“Well, now I definitely need to put your skills to the test.” She giggles while taking another bite of her food.
“Though what kind of cheese do you use?”
“Oh, it is!”
[ He takes a deep breath. No time like the present. ]
“Y’know, I make pretty good grilled cheese sandwiches… wanna come over some time and try them?”
@DrSmartMouth She can now be seen glaring at the other, quick to grab at his arm before he was able to make his grand escape.
“That is not how this works.” She growls, quickly making her way out to the hall and out of earshot from the two rooms.
“You are not pawning patients off to me.”
@DrSmartMouth “Whoa, whoa.” She haults just outside the first door.
“I told you I would ‘help’ you, not take on a load of two patients.” She corrects, placing her hands on her hips and shooting the man a faint glare.
“Though I love kids, I am not watching them for you.”
